iGet2Work introduces John Starr, his adorable rescue terrier Lucky, and his exciting Life-As-a-Hollywood-Extra blog ~ JOHN STARR EXTRA!
A teen Actor and Extra in the mid-1970’s (he tap danced on M*A*S*H and sat next to Travolta on “Welcome Back Kotter”) John is back doing on-camera work for the first time in 30 years! He’s also a professional Clown Magician and blows up a mean balloon animal.

He hopes his chronicle John Starr Extra and his cutest-dog-ever, Lucky, is a ticket to more SAG and AFTRA work.

Hi john, How wonderful….your own dressing room, taking a bow AND speaking 3 words……. Do you get paid by the word, or sentence!
Mo!!! Mo!!!! Yay!!!!!
I think “He’s our ride” will need to replace “Telegram for Mr Drummond” in the pantheon

Thank all you guys for watching & your supportive wonderful comments! Playing a Principal Talking Clown is always a thrill (& the Specialty Background Clown work is also terrific). But…Principal Residuals forever always help (and they couldn’t hurt., Badda bing). I still get dough from ‘Strokes’, M*A*S*H, & “Kotter” Upgrades, etc).
Here’s a hilarious text interaction I just had with dear family:
Cousin: I think “He’s our ride” will need to replace ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ “Telegram for Mr Drummond” from the pantheon.
Me: I thought my ‘Young & The Restless’ “I’m no hero” was also up there, but thanks!
Cousin: That was good, but I think “He’s our ride” moves up the list. But that’s just me.
Me: It’s just nice to be remembered as a bit player.
Cousin: Don’t be so modest. You’re a two bit player.
Well, it’s about time. No, all jokes aside, I love your spirit and determination. It gives me fuel. It was really cute. Much love.

Loved your clown appearance.
Speaking at last.
Fun,
Bonnie
ROCK N ROLL STARR
So cool!!!
Congratulations my friend!!! That is fantastic news and I am soooo happy for you!
Hi John,
It was awesome:) Great to see you on “Instant Mom.”
Yay John!
You’re a Wonderful clown and a Great Guy!!
Great times at UCLA…!
Wonderful wonderful!
Btw….did you see the Letters to the Editor in response to your GQ photo shoot?
Hubby saw it where he gets his hair cut. Some clown remarked that as a professional who makes people laugh he was offended by the tawdry circumstances of which the clown was portrayed in the pictorial. This is completely paraphrased by me from Hubby’s recollection of the letter. But this was the gist of his letter. Can’t please everyone
Kathy-
I love that and bet that other clown would have dropped his pants so fast his nose would spin!
